Garlic Mustard Pull at Blue Point Woods

Celebrate Earth Day with Poweshiek County Conservation Staff for an evening in the woods as we pull garlic mustard. Garlic mustard is an invasive species that can take over in Iowa woodlands and prevent the growth of native flowers. We'll explore the property and look at spring ephemeral wildflowers as we go! 

Long pants, closed toed shoes, and gloves are recommended for this event.

OWLS (Older Wiser Livelier Souls) - Owls with Amy

Join us for a brand new program! This one is geared for adults. We'll have different conservation topic or guest speaker joining us in the Foster Center at Diamond Lake on the third Thursday of each month. Feel free to bring a lunch to enjoy on the viewing deck or in the Foster Center after the program. 

In April, for our innaugural OWLS program Amy will be talking about some of the owl species found here in Iowa.
